Mordant after hot zinc spray?

Hi guys - anyone know if it is necessary to spray mordant (T wash) on a hot zinc sprayed item (not galvanized)?

Ive been metal spraying for years and there is no need, just go straight to paint

Great, thanks. If anyone reads this in the future, I have had this opinion confirmed by 100% of the sprayers I called yesterday. You don't need to T-wash it before priming.

Thanks for that, is there a preferred type of primer at all? Etch?

manor coatings . plasticoat . thats what all the wrought iron gate makers use its good stuff no need to prime

Dosent matter the type of primer as it has a surface texture, unlike plating, so there is no need to etch coat first.
