In me spare time I like to dabble restoring not so expensive antique clocks.
For a few months now I've been looking for a cheap movement of the same type I'm working on in a bad state just for two cogs out of the movement.

Anyway over the past 3 months or so? Ive noticed China listings for various copies of pocket watches,these chinese are ruddy fools because no one wears pocket watches these days and people are very wary of buying chinese goods.....are the chinese uneducated or something?

Yes they are -
senior school classes start at 7am untill 7pm, and saturday mornings as well, a bachelors degree takes 4 years...

Local friends daughter is going to school out there. Part of of the Atlantic College outfit. They spend time educating the cage children.Whos only chance of a good life is their grades. Living in little boxes (cages) We can not immagine what it is like over there.

well tell your mate that in any one day 95% of the things he touches,uses,or watches comes from The peoples republic
