What Price to charge

Hi all

I have been asked to replace both front inner wings on a landrover Discovery, i was looking to charge about £400 all in dose this seam reasonable?

If the customer is happy with it and you are then it is reasonable. Really you should be telling us who is supplying the parts, is this part of the "all in price"?, how much dismantling you have to do, how long you think the job is going to take and whether you really want to do it or not

i can get the parts from YRM they are £20 per side, i dont mind doing the job it dosnt look too complicated. It will require the following to be removed:

1.Bonnet
2.Outer wing
3. Air filter one side
4. ABS modual the other (this may be just a lift ot of the way not remove item.

Then drill spots out replace and a coat of primer.

I am allowing 16hrs

Check the footwells/ bulkhead, also have you took the wings off because it will be rotten behind. Think you will have to take the screen wash bottle out aswell. I scrapped a 1995 disco because the rust was every where not just the inner wings, body mounts at front of inner wing and the body mount just in front of the footwell and on inner wing.

£20 only get you the basic bottom bit the full inner wing is £72 per side plus vat and carriage from YRM

Yes it looks like it is just the top that has rotted..

have fun we had to remove fuse box brake pipes and shed loads of other bits as well when we did mates.
also ended up doing footwells and front light holders.
took 3 full weekends to get it all done.
