That wall mounted one will only do ally cans. The other seems quite happy squashing steel ones too.

and dont u think they have wised up 2 that one same as putting bricks in scrap caRSs and filling water drums up when getting weighed in and then emptying before being weighed out nice bit of enginering but slow so hardly worth the effort

Oh I think they have seen every trick in the book - there's no way I would try to turn my scrap dude over as he's a decent guy. He appreciates that I sort and bag all my scrap and hasn't got to sift through it that's why I can turn up at a few minutes to five and he doesn't tell me to beggar off.

Same here. Every bag I take I always leave open topped for him just to double check, when it's on the scales, but he always knows that what he sees at the top of the bag is exactly what's throughout the bag, top to bottom.
