powercraft 130 mig 25-130 any had any experiences etc

hello still looking for a mig these pwercraft things keep cropping up on ebay new and cheap gas/gasleess 25-130 non live torch £100 ish new please can someone tell me the catch are they sip or total s**t if so why cheers fg

No please don't do it "HELP Forum Welder lost his marbles" you could make the same thing with a bit of glue a lighter some mig wire and a little buzzer in side a cardboard box no motor needed as it will just work like the real thing and you will throw out within a week.
I would go for a Clarke 9o for a low end unit and it works but save up a little more and go for a bigger Clarke they sell back out on eBay for just a little less than you pay for it new good parts back up service lots of forum members using them also.

Mind out for the eBay catalogue returns and only used once, I know i'm not being very positive about the Wolf/powercraft range but the good thing about this forum you can learn from forum members mistakingly getting the wrong bit of kit I was about to do the same thing and get one at one stage.

Keep your eyes open for a VAT free day at Machine Mart Swindon also If you go to the clarke main website http://www.clarkeservice.co.uk/ and ask for a catalog they will also send you to your local dealer I was quite surprised to find one in my local town that I dint even know about.

Same old same old lol, unless you pay £200 + for a mig unit you wont get much but trouble. The ultra cheap one have poor wire feeds and where AC is smoothed out to DC, it isn't done that well.

Bought a Draper MW151AT for £225 some time ago... Gives good penetration on 2mm -3mm, more than capable of blowing holes through. Have yet to try thicker stuff.
Have to try welding some really thin stuff with 0.6mm wire...

Brought a 2nd hand powershack 190R it's got a Kende torch, Sip wirefeed just upside down. So feed wheel is on the top. and the rest of the gubbins is probably the same. dual purpose. paid £80 for it.

A good price but as Irondarren brilliantly quoted, "Cheap to buy, expensive to run". Kende are the maufacturers in China & I'm afraid you will be very lucky to find any kind of spare parts back-up for them + they don't go down low enough on the bottom setting for thin sheet (60amps I think?), Still, you've not got much money in it so worth a punt.

Brought it mainly to weld the discovery back together and I'm replacing the sills, crossmember etc with 2mm box section so hoping it will be ok as not a lot of thin stuff to weld. already had trouble with the wirefeed. it definately does not like fluxcored wire.
