Christmas Wood Burner.

I was commisioned by a friend's good lady to make this little fella as a Christmas present for him.
It started out life as a 15kg butane cylinder. Hope you like it.

Correct. Here, have a mince pie

The disc was scrap in that it had warped pretty badly. Thought it'd be nice as a bit of decoration on the hotplate, seeing as he's a biker.

The door handle is also bike-related...

Ah ha so it is! Nice to see the bike theme continued throughout the build! The chimney puts me in mind of the stock exhaust on a Suzuki SV!

It's probably the right diameter and length, but nowhere near heavy enough

There's an air inlet at the back which uses an old gearbox sprocket as a knob. I'll dig out some more pics.

Here's the sprocket knob:

The tube is a section of empty disposable argon cylinder:

Drilled a couple of half inch holes in the cylinder body as air inlets, and welded a length of box section up the back of the inside of the 'firebox' upto the baffle plate, to provide a secondary burn. It works

I have another empty 15kg cylinder purged and ready to go. I want to build another one similar, but have another idea for a secondary air inlet .

I've also been informed by the new owner that they have an empty 47kg cylinder on the farm, with my name on it
Would make a good smoker/pizza oven I reckon.
