Hi guys,
Im ordering my compressor after xmas. It is rated for use on a 13amp supply but they recommend using a 16amp supply. Currently I have 2 standard 13amp sockets in my shed running from 2.5 cable connected to a 32amp RCB (at least I think it is an RCB) from the consumer unit in the house.
Questions:
Is the current setup ideal for installing a 16amp socket in the shed?
Would it be considerably involved to install a 2nd 16amp socket whilst we were at it?
Does it legally need to be installed by a certified electrician, or is it ok for an uncertified but competent sparky to do the job?
Will it need to be officially inspected with official test certificates issued?
Thanks for any advice
