Grooving in the lathe.

Here is a little vid of a 1/4" wide groove being cut 1/2" deep into a steel pulley blank. Just a plain jane HSS tool bit running on center and the lathe is in back gear. The cross slide gibs are just snugged a little too...Bob

Sorry for the bad vid guys. My SB lathe is a 1974 and just looks old. I was just showing a groove being cut since everyone says its so hard to do esp on a small lathe. Feel free to show me how to do it I did use some collant on the larger groove but i did have both hands full. Oh well i tried...Bob

Same here.

I get the feeling the ISP's over there are inserting ads.

I use Firefox and adblock anyway so no popups and no ads one many sites. However, it did not show any popups blocked.

Strangely enough not all threads and posts are of interest to every single member, It is metal working and quite within the framework of the forum. Some members regularly post far less useful material...

For those of you who have suffered trauma by pop ups, then I can only suggest that a blocker may make your life's less stressfull.
