I didn't see that link whilst checking the website out - thanks. Alan was kind enough to let me know anyway. He also let me know that the bottles are filled to 200 bar - way more than the 120 bar I currently use.

I recieved my 20L bottle of Argon today. A very big thankyou to Alan, who although was in Dorset on another errand, went a little more out of his way to see me in Dorchester and personally deliver a bottle of Argon to me. He also kept to his word and gave me his discount for forum members, on both of my bottles (the Argon he delivered and the Mixed I obtained from one of the distributors).
I can finally blow the dust off my welders which have been gathering dust because I have been reluctant to pay rental on bottles. Thankyou Alan for all your help recently, you're a top bloke, much appreciated

That sounds like a good deal .i have an Adams Gas bottle £50 dep and £30 per refill but only 137 bar.Would be interested in changing.
Do you have distributor in kent and would i still be able to cash back deal on that.
Took my boc bottle back a few months ago to a place in paddockwood kent and the gits are still trying to charge rent on the bottle.

Hi ,
Not the first time I have heard about BOC agents trying to charge rental on returned bottles. Make sure you get a receipt when you return any rental bottle.

I have had the same problem with one of your distributors quoting silly money. I seen your prices on the price list & thought that sounds a good deal I'll have one of those so called up my local Worcester agent & they didn't even know that they were an agent until I told them they were!
He then looked on his system & said they hold no gas & have never sold a bottle at all, but can get it in from another branch at £72 for the bottle & gas with a £65 deposit. This was for argon mix 10L. On your website it's £43.20 for bottle & gas with a £55 deposit.

Hi Paul, I have spoken to Bromsgrove Motor Factors as promissed I would yesterday when you rang and I have got to the bottom of this. The price you were quoted was for pure Argon , as I suspected , the price for 5% CO2/Argon from them is £36.00 + vat , just the same as on our price list.
I notice from your other posts that you are new to welding , you should be aware that untill fairly recently the only option hobby welders had for gas was BOC or throw away bottles.
Many of our distributors have not sold gas before and are still learning about the different products that are available. Companies like Bromsgrove Motor factors have a central " head office " that supplies the other branches . It is not unusual for the branches to be supplied from head office with new products untill the company sees that there is a demand for the product and puts it in all branches.

I am leaving in the south Ireland, but I saw that you have a distributor up north so it could be worth the spin.
Just few question:
- Are you planning to do Acetylene soon I would love a setup free of rental?
- For the price, I am wondering when you are taking the first bottle do you have to pay deposit + gas price (so for oxygen 20L £60+(£54 + VAT)), is it correct?
- Are you planning to have some distributor in south Ireland ? There is a huge market here

Due to the nature of Acetylene ( Liquid and solid in the bottle , plus classed as explosive) it is very difficult for us to distribute it at the moment , but never say never !
Pricing is correct , first bottle costs gas + deposit , further refills are just the price of the gas.
We would love to have some distributors in south Ireland . If you have any thoughts of companies that might be suitable PM me their details.
