Hi Guys
Posted this about two weeks ago http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=27470.
Didnt have much time to mess around.
However i managed to get some time and started experimenting and applying almost everything i read.
Took me a while to get the settings right (I hope i did) so here are mywelds after setting. Total messing around time equals about 40min.

Let me know how my welds turned out so i can better it.
setting were.
32x32mm x 1.6mm square tube
0.8mm mig wire
power - 110a
voltage - 16v
low speed wire feed
inductance - 7

Some nice runs there, butt weld some 2mm or 3mm sheet and see how your penetration is doing, on 3mm leave a fraction of a gap, if you have the same runs on top and good penetration...looks like you will be mastering it nicely.

Thanks, will do as soon as i can get my hand on some scrap metal. Its winter in Cape Town so the garage is a bit cold at night. not very pleasant.

Cold? we think 9 degrees in the evening is summer here, I was welding in minus 11 last winter, had to break through the ice to drink my coffee.

Its 9 deg here in the evening in winter. Well, most of the times at least.
Summer nights are like 15-20deg average.

My apologies,...I dont know what cold is then...lol
