Having Trouble Finding A Decent Roll Cabinet

So here's the problem, many months ago I bought this to top box store my ever expanding to kit in. Now it's fantastically built, mega strong and all that but it's no longer big enough. (I could probably fill another one up with what I've got right now)

Because of this I've decided to invest some money in a big roll cabinet tool chest thing. I've got around £700 to spend but don't don't want Snap On, Mac or anyone like that because I know I wont get much out of it.
The original plan was to go with another US Pro box but the importers don't sell the unit I want anymore. (Gutted)

That being the case I've turned my attentions to this one. Now if I can get that one in black and take of a cheap looking alloy pieces I'll have exactly the box I want. My local tool guy had one of these in as another brand and it feels as good and works as well as any Snap On box I've ever got near.
That being said if I can't get one in black I'm not interested. So if it does turn out like that (I think it will) have you guys got any recommendations for a similar sized cabinet for around £700?

Machine marts do some very heavy duty roller cabinets. At decent prices as well

if your using this toolbox as much as i can gather from what you have typed then i would hold out for a second hand snap on or mac box.

unless you can stretch to a bit more.

Snap and Mac boxes dont seem an awful lot different to Machine Mart now...............other than the price of course!

I've a Machine Mart/Clarke HD one with ball bearing rollers. it's really good for my DIY use, especially as I'm not bothered with Snap-On/Mac branding/hype.

they are very good quality.

but they just dont compare to a snap on or mac tool box.

Chances are it's still too small for you, nut I've got the Halfords Industrial series top box and roll cabinet. The box is the same depth as the cabinet. For your budget you could get 2-3 of them!
It's roller everything.

Once upon a time, that might have been the case, however there are that many good quality boxes on the market people just are not prepared to shell out for used Snap-on unless it's mint.

Why spend 1200quid on a snap on when you can buy two wider roller cabinets for the same price

as far as the halfords boxes go, the industrial ones are the only ones worth having.

their red and black line aint worth a w**k.

the aforementioned Teng aint much better either.

if i was on a budget and wanted a DIY quality box, id go with the machine mart.

I've got mac tools and clarke boxes and the clarke ain't even close to the quality of the mac and i've had the mac one 15 years so far !

However for home use the clarke isn't too bad, i even got mine cheaper from machine mart cos it had a ding in the back

Thanks for the help guys. I definitely want something big as I would like it to last me a while and as I'm only 20 cash is a bit tight so I'd rather not have to upgrade a couple years down the line. I'd much rather start with something way to big and grow into it than be constantly fretting about running out of space.

The Teng and Halfords boxes are far to small for what I want and I really can't see the point in buying several cabinets when one would do. I work in a pretty busy and reasonably pack garage as well so moving them around would be a nightmare.

I quite like the idea of the AA units but I can't see my self driving past London to get one let alone Cumbria. I shudder to this what that would cost in diesel.

I have found some Snap On and Mac cabinets on eBay for around £1200 that I'm going to keep and eye on although for that money I could buy a new off brand box and still have cash spare for tools.

yes but you do have a middle section box as well. halfords dont make them, only in the tinny red and black range.

you're happy with your US Pro because the high end ones are the clarke boxes. the entry ones are taskmaster/britool etc
