I have a large (3.5 litre) tin of Tetrosyl “super litre” smooth body filler. The instructions on the tin state 100 to 1 ratio of filler to hardener. I have never had a problem of adding the correct amount of hardener to filler-just a tiny bit does the job.
Two tubes of 40g size hardener accompanied the tin. It does not seem much hardener for such a large tin. I phoned the manufacturer in an attempt to establish how many tubes should be with a tin of this size. It was a bit like pulling teeth, as the guy was just saying there is sufficient hardener for the amount of filler. He would not commit himself on the number of tubes. (For all anyone knows a tube could have gone missing at some point).
If it was possible to translate 40mg to ml I would be able to do the maths for the ratio and establish if there is indeed the correct amount of filler. I don’t why the filler is stated in litres as it is even "less of a liquid" than the hardener.
