Which gas company originally supplied the cylinder Bill?
If it is genuine 'argoshield' then as Tigman says, only BOC can exchange it as 'argoshield' is a trademark of BOC.
(Note the term exchange, not refill. )

hi thanks i got it from surrey they closed and i think there is a sister co in wales but i cant exchange there, bottle saya argon mix 5% wukkie

you will struggle to find anyone to fill or exchange it as its not there bottle. this is a problem with some of the inderpendant offten cheeper options if they go belly up your left with a un useable bottle

its technically possible but is very risky with the pressures involved and you waste 50% of the gas if the bottles are the same size we have some hydrolic systems at work that have a nitrogen filled bag inside filled at 300bar and we end up wasting half a bottle every time

dont even go there .ive looked in to it .by the time uve bought the transfer pipes and made up the fittings big ££££££££££and tried getting filled of someone elses large bottle and know what u are doing its a no goer and dangerous . theres no such thing as a free meal
