Our local council have just started replacing some of their Defenders, mix of TD5s and Puma engined.
They actually have their own maintenance bays so most repairs done in house
They have had galvanised chassis replacements sometime in their life
Most are 110, but they do have a 130 as well

I used to drive one of that pattern petrol Bedford on odd occasions when the driver was away. It went really well & was quiet. Then it was replaced by a petrol TK, drove that a few times as well, did 9 to the gallon from what I recall. Later when I joined GPO/BT in ‘76, there was a few of the early pattern Bedfords as cabling support lorries, apparently they were left over from some overseas contract & were bought cheap. These were petrol as well, which we understood was to get them under the weight limit for a car licence. Compared to the BMC FG’s they were a pleasure to travel in.

This goes back to a local steam rally in 2013:
If I recall correctly, the piece of paper stuck to the front apologises for the dirty condition of the vehicle but explains that it was out doing a job the day before the event. I thought I had a photo of the notice, but I can't find it. Not sure whether it was doing a public job or someone's drive. Without descending into the usual, I did think that after the patching job my locals had done on an A-road, they'd have been wise to slip the local steam roller owner a few quid to come and roll it flat.
