One of our mob in the 70's broke the mould of riding a BSA or Triumph.
The predecessor to the T3 with a single front disk.
But you had a day out, so all is not lost!Well 6 hour round trip and never took the Guzzi. was quite unloved on cose inspection: fasteners corroded, engine cases corroded, wirring a mess of electrical tape, odd loose connectore, connectors to nowhere.........
I had asked for close up photo's or high definition versions of overall pics, never got them - if I had, I would never have made the trip! Foot pedal was doing nothing, I suspectthe master cylinder - no resistance at all. Arrived to bike on a charger and was difficult to start...... 10 minute look over and walked away!
Towing a trailer in queues of traffic with lots of tourists in camper vans...... wish I had gone by bike! But you had a day out, so all is not lost!
Ahhhhh we get a fair bit of that…..necessary evil in a rural economy though!Towing a trailer in queues of traffic with lots of tourists in camper vans...... wish I had gone by bike!
The like is for walking away.Well 6 hour round trip and never took the Guzzi. was quite unloved on close inspection: fasteners corroded, engine cases corroded, wirring a mess of electrical tape, odd loose connector, connectors to nowhere......... most chrome pitted with rust.

He sent photo's, as the one above, not high definition. His interpretation of good condition and mine are poles appart, he had an interesting collection of bikes: 350LC, Guzzi 750s, Benelli Tornado, BSA Goldstar.....The like is for walking away.
If they hadn't sent me photos without a really good excuse I don't think I would have gone in the first place. There'll be plenty more.

Thinking abot it, though a 9 hour round trip away.Is the R90 back as a possible contender now?![]()
