Hi Members,
Now i bought my engine for my conversion and the block has been painted before i bought it. The thing i dont like it, its black and what seems to have lacquer but could be wrong.
Any way i bought some of this http://www.frost.co.uk/item_Detail.asp?productID=8765&frostProductName=Chevrolet Orange Engine Enamel (473ml)&catID=24&frostCat=Painting&frostSubCat=POR-15&subCatID=37 paint for the block, its in aluminum colour.
I want it this colour as it looks better and can spot oil leaks faster.
My question is what shall i do with the black engine block paint, should i use paint stripper or just sand it down for create a good key ?
I'd rather do it good first time round and i dont want my paint peeling of because of some kind of reaction ?
Cheers
