Times have been busy since I last posted. The head still needs lapping, but all I can get is a nice C pattern with the bluing agent. I feel it needs a grind... and that's where this machine comes in! A fully laden Wolf Mobilectric cabinet. It's such a nice piece of kit and it wasn't very much money considering just how much it came with. I found a spot to shoehorn it into, too. I will soon get onto learning how it works, but I'm giving everything a clean and a tidy up at the moment.
In other news, I've been building workbenches at work. 'Part of my apprenticeship', haha... but it keeps me busy, I don't mind really. This is a New Zealand Railways workbench, they have beautiful cast iron ends and they're extremely heavy. I was lucky enough to get one when they were throwing them away (!) but now they're refurbishing them instead, which is better really. Very solid. I've got to screw some ply on top, and then we have a few Chinese Eclipse bench vices. It's nice to see a bit of money being spent on the workshop.
