Trouble shooting!

Cant seem to get it work well, tungsten balls up immediately, erratic arc and gets so hot i cant get the filler into the puddle before it melts!! Also my muscle memory has completely gone! but I dont remember ever having these issues.

that sounds like your frequency and balance settings are way wrong.

I did suggest that early on, but apparently changing the AC balance made it worse and frequency was set around 90.

yep, ive tried it at 30% balance, 60% balance, low freq, high freq still not right IMO. My understanding was to have more penetraition, less cleaning and a highish frequency for a tight arc.

I can come and get you going on it this week/weekend. Like I say I’m only half hour away. No problem at all. Will bring plenty of fresh material with me.
