8.8 vs 10.9 for galv

Hi all,
I'm doing a bit of sheet metal work & looking to get it galvanized. Some of the sheet overlaps & I need fixings at the overlaps, 6mm and 8mm. I use shear nuts on the outside faces & socket button head bolts for the inside faces.
Till now I've been getting the work blasted & zinc sprayed, but I want to experiment with getting the pieces galved.
I've heard in the past that 8.8 bolts fair better in galv than 10.9 as a they're less brittle, but I can't seem to find 8.8 socket button head bolts anywhere - they're all 10.9
Do you think this is a point for concern?
Does anyone know a supplier who does 8.8 bzp/self colour socket button head bolts in 6mm & 8mm? Or something similar that has a domed head profile?

Pick up the phone and ask your local fastener emporium whether such items exist. If they do, they will be able to order them for you in box-quantity multiples.

Try Williams Fasteners, Kays Fasteners or XR Fasteners.

The question of brittleness may be moot if the items are not under any significant stress. It only becomes relevant if the fastener is acting as an engineered fixing, as part of an overall design (with calculations). You deciding on M6 at 100mm centres is not such a case.

I did wonder about that but sadly I think because of the shape it really needs to be bolted first.

You have to click through a few options to find them, but M6 are listed (defaults to m16 for me and wasn't immediately obvious)
