This stuff:
Mixed thoroughly and sprayed with a Ronseal sprayer onto normal untreated shiplap. It has been left bare for a year before I got around to the job, since I hate painting so much, because this sort of thing always happens:

It seems to have separated into pigment and water on contact with the wood. A roller just lifts it off.
