Looking for a stick welder and torches

First time poster.
We have moved out to the family farm and need to do general maintenance on some pretty heavy steel doors and random other parts and pieces.
I'm looking for advice on a stick welder and cutting torches for doing general work around the place.
Also can anyone recommend a decent supply house in the Belfast area?

If I was in the market for a stick welder I would be looking for a 2nd hand Bantam or Oxford oil cooled, still a few about at decent prices..something like this... great welders.

for stick welder eather something oil cooled as all ready sugested or a genny set which is more portable and versitile for cutting oxy propane or oxyaceterline

I'm not having much luck finding those older units without traveling to England to pick them up. If I were to be looking for a more modern one what sort of specs should I be looking at? Something like the Miller Thunderbolt 225 which is an AC unit and goes up to 235 amps?
Is there an easy solution, like a kit for assembling all the parts for the torches?

That should be fine, but if possible I'd be inclined to go for the AC/DC unit as opposed to just AC...

How do you mean? If it's just an oxy-fuel cutting torch you can get them complete, then just buy the appropriate "tip" for the job
