1.85.9 diesel and 1.54.9 E10 petrol in Omagh NI at the moment. (I may be stuffing my face in KFC accross the road at the moment )

I stopped by a KFC the other day, not been in one for several years.
Ordered with a side of "large" fries - it comes out. I did a double take and actually queried it with the guy, genuinely thought they had made a mistake, but no apparently it was correct.
So I named them Steve, Bob and Margaret...

I mean, I wasn't expecting much, but still.. Talk about shrinkflation.
Something about my disappointment was immeasurable and my day ruined.

Still £1.89 here locally. We had to go to Aylesbury and back twice over the bank holiday 220 miles round trip each time. That cost us £93. Still, looking at the train, for the the same amount of people it would have been double.

If I'd done those trips in mine I would be looking at about £145 as it's costing me about 33p per mile at current prices

Over here, the farmers and hauliers have been causing chaos by taking a leaf out of the Frenchies' book and doing slow laps of various towns and cities, in the hope the gov't will pull a rabbit out of a hat.
I don't see the point, everyone's in the same boat and all they did was cause a lot of frustration and anger, but you'd never know that from the weasels on the media.

Prices have been stable here for the last few days, £1.53 for E10.

On Trumps latest news, its gone up again, only one left at 154 and heading for 160..

I always get my fuel from a local place that supplies coal, gas and animal feeds. They also supply bulk deliveries of heating oil and derv from their main depot.
They are not really a proper fuel station, just 3 pumps at the side of the yard. They don't even have a sign up with fuel prices.
Stopped to get a jerry can for a car at home and got a real surprise. Only 179.9 for derv, everywhere else locally is 185 or more.

Not sure its going to go down quickly, there has been a lot of refinery infrastructure damage in the gulf
Ones that are working, don’t turn refinery back on in few hours.
Supply shock is going to take months to sort.

I'm guessing there's a delayed reaction at pump price? As in, if you bought a tanker load at the highest price it'll take a while to get to the pumps and you need to get your money back, so the highest is yet to come. Or does it not work like that?

remember potatoes and the price of chips doubled...never ever came down dispite potatoes prices dropping.

Youd probably manage an old diesel on good quality crude from Malaysia, maybe the Permian stuff, but the thick black stuff not a chance. But you do need the whole first before you can refine it!

Talking to a garage franshise owner yesterday and he told me there was no restrictions in tanker deliverys...he orders and it comes in as normal, the pumps running dry is caused by "not normal sales" ...his words.
