Busy fitting a bathroom at no1 daughters. Had to cut some plasterboard in the wall little did i know some clown had run a cable down just behind the board. This then involved a trip up into the loft of a very shallow pitched roof stuffed full of insulation. I had to belly crawl along the trusses to the lowest part of the roof and managed to pull a bit of slack to feed into the room below so as i could reconnect the two ends in a junction box.
At the best of times im claustraphobic, i get a sweat on getting my shoes out the understairs cupboard!! So i found myself today on the verge of hyperventilation. I had to talk to myself out loud to calm myself down and never in a long while have i felt so relieved to get to a loft hatch.
It took me back to an incident many years ago working for a mate rewiring a farmhouse when under the floor i got hooked up on a nail and could move neither backwards nor forwards and the rising panic close to terror that gripped me.
I remember my mates asked me if i wanted to go potholing on one occasion i distinctly remember my answer. Not while theres a hole in my %$se!!!
