IIRC the Victron Solar Charge controller I was looking at includes low temperature protection. If it's cold, it won't attempt to charge. It also has profiles for different types of battery chemistry.

to be honest i dont trust either ebay or alieexpress
ive seen you lot buy from them but as goes for guarantee its just not there with either in the long run and if im correct theres no buyer protection like we have here in the uk with credit cards either
If you pay with PayPal or a credit card you still get the same protection.
I have used Ebay for 20 years not been caught out yet. Mind you I do check the seller details as much as possible.
The dodgiest place is Facebook marketplace. Zero protection and scams are rife. Not so much on the stuff we buy but cars etc look out.
Fina tally has been 4 separate orders for a Rebooter X40 ,17 mile spec, 20 ah battery powered chairs at anywhere from £1255 to £ 2880 for each attempted purchases .
I got full refunds as soon as it was discovered by AliExpress or myself that the sellers were flouting the AliExpress rules by asking for more money or advertising they shipped to the UK and then once ordered they messaged me saying , "We need you EU address but can sent to UK on longer more expensive route " .
Ali Express ended up putting a watch on my my orders and for the last two got back to me within hours saying , " A full refund is due to me back at my original source of payment " All refunds have now been made and have arrived back to my bank ..
This Iranian problem may well have changed the playing field and various sellers have not modified their AliExpress adverts to account for increased costs or journey times for the 40kg Rebooters
