I'll forgo the pleasure of paying £30.00 to £52.00 for entry into the show (which I can understand), but then getting ripped off for another £14.00 or £19.00 for parking your car each day by the NEC Venue.
As much as I'd like to go, but possibly paying more for parking my car than the show entry....... is the limit.

Off topic, but this kind of thing really annoys me. If, for some reason, you need to charge £1-£2 extra a ticket then don't tell us - just add it to the price!

Agree just another ticket agent/company ripping off the customer.
I know putting on show at the NEC is expensive, but its all the extra costs like these, on site drinks and high food costs/hidden ticket costs/parking fees.
That ruin the day for me now, now i just don't go.
The NEC was located there for a reason.
Easy access to the motorway system, large capacity area for visitors car parking, fairly local rail connections.
It's a good job companies like Aldi, Asda, Costco, Lidl, Morrisons Sainsburys, Tesco dont charge for parking.
I know we don't stay parked at supermarkets all day, but the parking is free it's all part of the food retailers costs, at an NEC Show visit if they're going to rip us off make it in-visible.
I'll agree with those of you that are thinking, he's just a "Grumpy Old Man", but I'm 70, I've worked all my life and I've earned the right to be GRUMPY...and not get ripped off.....Visibly at least.

I'm thinking about it at the moment, though if I do come, I'll be coming on the train. There's a few things I could do with from the jumble, and it's often nice just for a change to my normal routine, but I haven't decided yet whether the costs involved are worth it.

Apparently the last increase in prices didn't dent the attendance figures at all, in fact they were up, allegedly. As long as people will pay these outrageous prices, they will keep squeezing the stone. In the past, I always found the Autumn show to be much better than the Spring show, but maybe that has changed?

The Autumn show has a lot more car and club displays, and proportionally less restoration and jumble stuff, whereas this one is the other way around.

It may be a thing of the past, I went to the car show in the 80's back when it was held at the NEC so it may be different now.
