Wire speed issues??

So my MiG welder is setup to gas.

When I weld with gas tank off it's fine but not pretty.

But when I turn on the gas, the wire won't come out and only gas pour out the gun? It sparkle like my wire speed is low tho whatever speed setting I put on

Whenever I turn the gas cylinder off my wire speed is fine

On my welder it says 0.30 for steel MiG wire. But I run with 0.35 for thicker weld. Would the wire size cause to only pour gas when gas tank is on??

The gas shouldn't affect the wire feed. Can you post a video?

There's nothing "fine" about solid wire mig welding without gas.
It could be just your perception of the sputtery arc with and without. It'll sound angrier without gas.

I can't think of any reason why having gas turned on would affect the wire speed.

What welder is it?

Turn the voltage nearly all the way up if it's a small sub 180amp machine. Then turn the wirespeed up as well, and see what it does.

Yes it was sounding angrier with gas off.

That's a lincoln MiG pak 10.

Any setting was no different.

I just invert my drive roller Wich seems to fits wider for the 0.35 solid wire.

From now it work great. But will update if anything goes back
