I caught him trying to change the radio station.
We couldn't agree on the music so he left!

I not long since saw a large spider, no idea what type, tootle away from my wood pile. A big bugger, he is. I was sat here having a smoke when I saw him.

Apparently totally harmless, but they make me feel as if

Me too.
That said, when my boy was four we were staying in a "gite" (fancy artesanal word for "run down farmhouse outbuilding") outside Bordeaux and his bedroom had around twenty tiny-bodied, long-legged buggers every night. I didn't want him to inherit my phobia so every night I'd grin through gritted teeth, say "see? they're utterly harmless", and capture each and every single one in my hands and put them out the window.
Once I kissed him goodnight I'd go and shake on the sofa for a good ten minutes.

Olha our lovely & rather fit 35 yr old Ukrainian refugee house guest and her 7 yr old son stayed with us for 2.5 years .

One day she was helping me ( only my right arm working at the time ) in the garden by the small 20 foot high oak tree , when a suddenly gert big spider fell from the oak into her cleavage ..

One hell of a shriek and her top was off , the spider was on the edge of her lh bra cup , so I gently took it off .


She looked at me and we both bust out laughing as Alison came into view to see what the scream was about just in time to see Olha stripping off her Tee shirt & my hand on her bra .

Al saw the funny side , it became an occasional tease for me to ask Olha if she wanted to help me out in the garden again . I can't pronounce her laughing reply but I'm sure it was a rude three word reply and a wink .
