What facebook user script are you using with violet monkey @julianf? I'm running blockers etc already for fb under Firefox and linux and android but the ability to remove suggested posts and threads would be great.

It broke once, so I added a query on the GitHub thread. The developer had it fixed within 3 hours.



As, I suspect, you know - FBpurity does not work on Android mobiles.

I was using Firefox with U Block. Still works but got sick of the home page ads so I'm using Libre Wolf (on Linux) I get zero ads anywhere

Ta, I've been using fbpurity on firefox desktop for a long time, but it still doesnt seem to remove enough of the crap I dont want to see because of changes on how things are inserted, so I'm always on the lookout for a better tool

Someone posted a link to the justthebrowser tool that snips out the ai, telemetry and advert crap from firefox (and really mozilla, you used to be a good non profit set up to do good in the world till the current board managed to take control...), I looked over the code and it seems to do what it says on the tin. https://justthebrowser.com/firefox/

i dont mind some ads when your getting something for nothing

but i was surprised to see actual pop ups on youtube instead of on youtubes own page as the pop up was an actual box which you have to close

whilst this box did have dont show again tick box and then close the pop up box
