I have a small welding job and it does not need to be pretty, but whilst I could spend £70 on the gasless 140 amp Bimson welder, I did think that if I go down that path, I am stuck with gasless and I never know whether I might want to get more into welding.

The 160 Amp looks good and it seems to get good reviews on the forum, but the initial issue I have is that I don't want to faff around with gas and just want to use flux core wire on the first job, but the 160 Amp machine uses 200mm diameter spools and I really don't want to shell out on large spools initially as it will get used once in a blue moon. Is there a way or running the 100mm diameter wire spools on a machine that is designed for 200mm ones?
