who uses bootlace ferrules -what brand

ive not been going by the stated size , i use the smallest one i can get the wire into

maybe i got a set of particularly bad ones , i had some blue /red spade terminals once that wouldn't hang onto the wire however i crimped them , i think the metal wasnt man enough to hang on once crimped , got some wurth ones for 10x the price and they stay put and feel like you could hang your weight off them

Some of the cheap crimps just aren't heavy enough, and don't crimp well. Not that any insulated crimp actually crimps that great anyway, but the cheap ones just don't crimp.

I've been known to "back up" a non insulated crimp with solder.

I bought a crimper and ferrule kit off amazon and had no issues with it.

Didn't know you could get non insulated ferrules, another item added to my next order!

I use a mix of RS Pro and Weidmuller ferrules with my trusty Weidmuller crimpers which must be 30+ years old now and still going strong.
