Exporting goods to northern ireland

So for the past few years I've had a customer in northern ireland buying some of the agricultural equipment that I make

So I've been sending it via pallets and the pallet company has been dealing with the paperwork declarations etc

Anyway I've decided to pop over for a few days holiday and thought I may aswell take 2 pallets worth of stuff with me and go and actually meet the people I've been dealing with for years

Now for the fun bit... filling in the paperwork

Reading online im not even sure I need to do a declaration aslong as the goods aren't going to be sold on into northern Ireland

Ive got my invoice to the customer in northern Ireland with both of our vat numbers on it

Will be going out in a pickup and trailer then dropping the trailer off for a few days and having a cruise around

Any reccomendations welcome particularly on the paperwork side but activities/places to visit aswell!

NI can be tricky or simple - luck of the draw. Many people just blag it. some get away with it others not. Do NOT travel as freight unless you have to due to length.
If you arent selling the goods why do you have a commercial invoice?
We can do the proper export and import declarations for you. PM me your email address and I will get one of my staff to look at it Monday.

NI is in the UK - there's the same export paperwork as if you were shipping to Cardiff or Glasgow from England: none.

Edit: posted same time as Fizzy - but there's nio concept of "exporting" if it's still in the UK, no?

I think I've got to basically say that the goods are going to stay in northern ireland and im not just sending them there so they can be exported in the south or the rest of Europe etc

I am selling the goods so have a vat invoice? Are you saying read between the lines and travel as if your not selling anything? Im quite happy to have a look at filling in the forms if needed but was just finding conflicting info online on what's actually needed for ni only

if only it worked that way ,,, theres a border in the middle of the sea as far as I can tell and it makes things tricky at times ,,,

I think I've got to basically say that the goods are going to stay in northern ireland and im not just sending them there so they can be exported in the south or the rest of Europe etc

There are no duties or taxes to pay but you still need to complete all the paperwork if doing it officially.
You will need an XIEORI number - we just use ours for customers.
You also need TSS which again we can provide.
I am not an expert on NI but my staff deal with it all the time.

Indeed so - we get quite a lot of pallet work out of it as many companies struggle.. It just keeps on giving!

Why is there a difference in NI? Same country right?
