A local country park need a sign (possibly several digns) for a long distance crossing country trail.
I was given the artwork to scale up.
It's based on the leaves of several trees combined.
Stem is 25mm box, the rest a mix of 15 and 20mm mild steel strip.
2.4m tall.
Next job is galvanizing it.
Quick question.
Where i have ground the welds flush will I need to go over it with a 120grit flap wheel; or will galv cope with the marks from a grinding disc?

Metalcraft Powerbender coped well with 25x2mm bocks. I was not sure it would manage this. Killed my shoulders.

Will it be hot dipped or electroplated applied galv ?
Seeing as we are neighbours where do yo get things galvanised ?

Hot dipped.
I use Joseph Ash at Bridgend for small jobs as its local and Cardiff Galvanizers for the big stuff. Cheaper in Cardiff from memory but Bridgend more convenient

What do you mean by "cope with"? The galve will adhere fine but deep marks or burrs will be visible in the finish.

Not sure about the mutant leaf personally but that's not your choice by the sound of it!

Well, the top left of yours looks a lot less penis tip-esque than the original!
