What's the plan for the shredded stuff?

Usually floor material for donkey stables I believe.

Got a similar shredder, does a decent enough job. A few years back whilst at work, someone had an identical one on their drive free to take, the motor from that now powers my belt sander

Its certainly good when you get it feeding nicely though the small opening is a pain in the **** to get branches which are perfectly small enough for it but have twigs/stubs sticking out like trying to get a cat in a carrier for the vet trip.

I'm wondering if I could get a solid brake disc and splined wheel hub to make a homemade petrol powered chipper, just cut slots and bolt blades to it for something like this.

I tear off, cut off the excessively leafy stuff - it jams the shredder. Or grab a bunch of them and shove through as one, with a thicker bit to follow to keep it chewing it through.

The leafy stuff left over, I lift the flymo style mower to highest setting and run it over it a few times - almost as good and effect as the shredder, although rather noisier.

Mostly undecided, but if you are aware of any options that would add to the sum of human happiness, then I shall be interested to consider them.

A very simple yet satisfying job - make some tee nuts. I've ran out a few times when adding clamps onto my mill so decided to make 8 more. I stated out by cutting slices off some mild steel plate

Stuck the slices in my mill and cut steps in the sides

Came out spot on the same as the originals

I drilled and tapped each one four times

Then cut them off in the hacksaw

Very happy with the result. i actually degreased them and dunked them in cold blue solution to turn them black and then oiled them to give them some rust protection, but I forgot to photo them afterwards to you'll have to imagine them black

That's the free version of ChatGPT. I cancelled my £20 a month subscription as part of my cost cutting measures. Claude is pretty good too.

I did modify the opening slightly by opening out the narrow bit in the middle.

I found the little "teeth" on the plastic exit keeps catching twigs and causing a blockage and I wanted to cut the opening larger but keep the section but make it hinge open but unfortunately it's friend's shredder so won't let me so I've just been using the little stihl ms170 to prune the thin branches for shredding and leaving the logs for splitting.

I have a Daihatsu Delta 1.5T tipper truck for the garden (and farm). My $NZ11 (5 uk pound) mirror that let you see down in front of the truck was fine except the clamp was complete rubbish and made from tinfoil, so it flopped around and destroyed the paint on the mirror arm.
5 minutes with a Munzing ring and a hacksaw, and it now clamps on properly. If it rusts, as I suspect the Chinesium isn't very galvanized, I will replace it with a stainless or 3D printed item.

Two gallons of pear wine from the pub tree after it's first racking. It WAS a lovely, quite clear, "your horse is fit for work" colour. I racked it off the lees and mixed one of a mate's chicken's egg whites with a pint of each gallon. That should bind with any fine particles as it sinks. That and a crushed Camden tablet in each. First impressions very dry, maybe too dry but as strong as Hell.
