If you google it:
"One liter of diesel contains approximately 10 to 10.7 kilowatt hours (kwh) of stored energy"
Then you gonna have losses - you know this as the exhaust path is gonna be hot.
I guess this to be about 30% - unless you scavenge some heat from the exhaust path.
Poorly insulated areas - like workshops - need about 3x the heat input than a well insulated house.
16kw is enough to heat about 60/70sq mtrs of floor area of a workshop.
So the maths - if it is not burning 2ltrs of fuel an hour - it not gonna cut it...
