Euro 6 does not appeal

No, just a rubbish replacement partDid you tighten the bolts with the suspension hanging? Quickest way to destroy bushes.
My son has a 16 plate Hyundai equivalent, its not bad to be honest. But think and older Rav4 betterLots of Kia Sportage 4wd auto about. Don't know what the older ones are like to drive.
Sportage and tucson are the same car in different clothes so just a matter of the best deal.I've had x2 Hyundai Tucsons (2015/2019)...both were excellent. The second one was fully loaded...heated seats in the rear, vented in the front!
With the Tucson you need to pick the right engine...my first was a 2.0 diesel manual and that really suited the car very well. I think they did a 4wd version too. Second was the 1.6T petrol...it was quite quick but I preferred the diesel.
Have a look at X3’s as well, I’ve had a couple of X5’s currently have an X3, almost as big inside but quite a bit lighter = better economy.I visited a friend yesterday who stays down a farm road, I took the Jag and when turning to park at their drive I got one rear wheel on the grass, just sank into mud and would not come out I tried rolling back and ended up stuck and had to get 2 friends to push me out and the car covered in mud! I have been visiting them for almost 20 years and first time, though I always took my Defender. Reminded me why I want 4WD.
I have been looking at a few of the cars suggested.
@sako243 I looked at L322's they are beautiful interiors, not many petrols unfortunately and looking at MOT histories of a couple for sale near the 100k mile mark their mot histories seem really poor - lots of brake, suspension and steering failures. As you say a lot of car for the money - though my wife hates them - a bit too flash for her and ideally I want something she can drive too.
@roofman X5's do seem great cars - not many in Scotland with under 100k in my price range.
I do keep looking at Volvo XC90's, After many years with almost every model of Saab I have a soft spot for Volvo, I like a car with a good heater/demister and plenty room - again very few for sale in Scotland with under 150k miles in my price range - will keep looking.
I would suggest the only thing the winning Dacia has with a production car is the name.interestingly, dacia just won the dakar........... cant be that bad
A bit like the group B rally cars of the 80's, they used the model name but not many production parts.I would suggest the only thing the winning Dacia has with a production car is the name.
New Defender won it's class and did at least look like one - but again, I suspect not much in common with a vehicle on the showroom floor, which also won't come with a team of mechanics to rebuild it for you every night.
The class (stock) rules dictate what can be changed.I would suggest the only thing the winning Dacia has with a production car is the name.

Door skins, headlamps, windscreen, indicators.I think on the Metro 6R4 it was only the badge and door handles that was shared with the shopping car.
On the earlier big engine petrol XC90s they had some gearbox issues....might only be the early petrols though due to the higher power output...I'm not 100% sure.Volvo XC90's 2012-2014 with the 2.4 D5 (200HP)
I believe they can: though earlier ones were worse than the later 6 speed. I will do a flush and transmission oil change if nop evidence of being done.On the earlier big engine petrol XC90s they had some gearbox issues....might only be the early petrols though due to the higher power output...I'm not 100% sure.
Be careful....I did that on my XC70 and broke the gearbox.will do a flush and transmission oil change
