A Yeti ,,, and a cageSo Mrs Blobber wants a van to cart the dogs about, I'm sure it's been asked many times before but what does the collective recommend? Perhaps something swb vivaro size for 5k?![]()

The 5k is the problem, vans at that money tend to have had a hard life! Id be looking for an estate car.So Mrs Blobber wants a van to cart the dogs about, I'm sure it's been asked many times before but what does the collective recommend? Perhaps something swb vivaro size for 5k?![]()

I know its not the question, but its cheaper to buy, tax and insure a car and your not going to get much van for 5K.
Just pick the hatchback of your choice and leave the backseats folded down, unless you've got a pack of huskies, then it might be a different matter, in which case take your pick, you'll get horror stories about anything.

Worse than the Land Rover Discovery of Doom5 k wont buy much high milage and a sh,it load to go wrong with all the censors and puter![]()

As it is a pack of wolves a Vivaro is probably ideal.Seems to be a fair amount of Vivaro type vans around 2010ish with the 2.0D engine for reasonable money and reasonable miles, a bit of research might have to be done, an estate car wont work as ideally it needs to have no side windows
Took small but good shout
That really isn't Mrs BlobberOr at £500 buy ten of these
(dispose at too doggy dirty or end of MoT, whichever comes first)

Now you're just being silly

That's kinda what I was thinking, plus I have a tech2 diagnostic thingy as they will have problems but it's all well documentedAs it is a pack of wolves a Vivaro is probably ideal.
Vivaro, Traffic, Primastar all the same thing and you see plenty of older ones around which tells you something and they're a bit small for the average courier so you can still get hold of them. Plus they don't seem to rust like the Ford offering and parts are cheap.
I don't know much about the 2.0 but I've got an older (2006) 2.5 that I've had for about 8 years and apart from an engine rebuild (cambelt fail) it's been faultless and for a 20 year old van is in good nick (rust free).
I think @roofman might run Traffic / Vivaro and did a thread about rebuilding an engine a while back?
