Hi all, I'm buying some sheet rolls off a retiring fabricator & I asked if he had a plasma cutter. He said yes, but he hadn't used it in a long time. It was under a bench covered in a layer of dust. Google doesn't seem to yield any info on this make, does anyone know anything about them?
Gut instinct says I'd be buying a 'project' rather than a plasma cutter....?

CitoArc was a model name used by Oerlikon, now part of Air Liquide I believe, might also be part of Lincoln Electric. Their plasmas were sometimes CitoCut models; I have a CitoCut 10i that I bought from a forum member so far back I've forgotten who or where but it works well.
I can't make out the torch in the pics above but the one on mine is extremely hard to get electrodes etc. for - you might need to fit something more modern.

Hi again folks. How interchangeable are plasma cutter parts? The owner of this has let me take it away to see if I can get it working properly & judge if I want it.
There's a light on the front that comes on when there's a problem with the air pressure gauge (which there is), though air is coming out of the torch.
The owner said the torch on it is not the original, and it definitely needs a new earth lead. I think it needs a new moisture catcher & regulator at the back too.
I don't know to what extent have I got to spend hours trawling the net looking for exact matches, or would these parts be easily replaced with any brand? Thanks

Mine has a pressure sensor in the airline so it won't start with less than 4Bar (60psi-ish) - I guess that's a common feature.
A water trap and regulator don't need to be expensive (even Aldi have them from time to time), plenty of people probably have spares in the shed - just need the right size fittings for your pipework.

Show some pix of the torch, and pull out the consumables, show them as well.
