Had one of my prezzies yesterday off the wife...a new cotton bedsheet because mine is always dirty she said..

I'm in the dogs time zone, he's been for his morning poo, I've had a shower and made breakfast for us both. His "mums" currently sleeping.
Half the orange toblarone is gone.
Time to put some beer in the fridge.

I’ve a fair idea what I’ll be getting...

My brother is impossible to buy for so he will be getting amazon gift cards, dad will be getting the imperial mics given to me on here a few days ago and a set of Siegen flex head ratchet spanner’s in a foam tool chest case.

I’m a bit jealous of that last one actually....

Just back from Haighs farm shop to collect the stand pies and cooked meats for family and friends. I thought I’d go at 5.30 as the queue is always long only to find it was even longer than previous years. I was prepared and wrapped up warm but the guy and his son not far in front weren’t and dressed in shorts, t-shirts and flip flops. It brought the Christmas cheer watching the dad's skin turn blue to match his t-shirt.

I’ll still be working today but I will be making a start on eating the Christmas food.

Ive a concern on quality….its rare socks last the year between Christmas’s…they all seem to get holes where the heel bit joins in!

I agree, modern socks are the pants.

I am still using 20+ year old ex Navy socks.

I know what I'm getting as apparently I'm difficult to buy for so just order stuff and people wrap it

But, a bead roller, shrinker stretcher and about 6 packs of socks as I seem to go through them pretty quickly, assume it's cos I don't wear boots in the crane and always have my feet up as the heels are first to go

Haven’t had many pairs of socks the last few years, thankfully. My mum buys me a jumper every year, she lives near Hawick ! Issue is I don’t wear jumpers

I had a job lot of ex-MOD socks from a stall at the old War and Peace show, unfortunately they've pretty much all died now, so will have to have a hunt for some decent replacements..any suggestions?

As we’re on holiday we’ve brought / bought one gift each. I have one for the wife, she has one for the boy and he has one for me, all to be opened before heading to the pool tomorrow

Guess what I’ve bought my wife for Christmas,… sweet nothing. Guess what she’s bought me …. The same. If there’s anything we want, we buy it, might have a look round in January to see if we fancy anything, but won’t buy presents on the off chance that we might like it. Been there, done that!
