We need a head scratching emoji here!the pro's use a length of non fraying rope under the seal's edge.....prob 8-10mm dia......
just lift the edge and poke the rope in.....easy....
I don't know what you mean. That's what I'm thinking but I want to do something now then hopefully get the screen out in next years heatwaveTo be honest there is not that much you can do without taking out the windscreen.

It's not bonded - the rubber seal is retaining the screen. Tbh (sorry) I think youll find more extensive rust underneath the rubber if you pry up the lip as suggested...looks like water ingress under the seal that has continued for some time...once you've fixed the rust with screen out either use a new rubber seal or use non setting mastic under the outside lip to keep the water out (DIY shed gutter sealant works).......
I'm not even sure if it's bonded in or not.
The poor old truck is at a turning point now...
Yeah I knowStop cleaning it until next year and then sort it.
But make a real decision to do it . . . or you'll be posting a worse picture this time next year.
That was probably National Windscreens when they bodged in a new screen a few years ago, not only did the monkey snap my very expensive electric aerial but on the first drive it felt like I was getting shot blasted in the face there was so much wind coming through the gaps!.looks like water ingress under the seal that has continued for some time

Same with a company van.hat was probably National Windscreens when they bodged in a new screen
