Bank charges for company accounts

As other people are involved, I don't want her going down the personal account route. You know what people are like, and anything questionable will cause grief.

What has annoyed me about it all, is that when they started out on this endeavour, ALL the leaseholders were dead keen. When things needed to be done, they drop out. Too busy apparently. Seems that SWMBO is doing the majority of the heavy lifting.

She wanted to appoint a local management company at much reduced cost, but was outvoted by those very people who don't want to do anything

That would be raising a red flag for me - sounds like she is going to end up being the management company for everybody else, with non of the benefits and all of the stress and liability.
I'd be pushing them towards using the cheaper management company tbh, or just swallow the rising costs of the existing one and offset it by thinking about all the time and effort and misery she/you have saved.
Some people can't be helped, and from what you have said, this is a good example.

Id simplify things and sell the flat….just seems like hassle, unless the return on investment is exceptional.

Good luck opening a bank account. They have made things difficult now due to the money laundering regulations.
