I don't have any pix handy, but I built a "die" many years ago to do just what you want.Graffian I know it’s been 12 years since this post…. I am in the US in Texas and am trying to do this exact same tube flattening on one side only but with 5/8 od tubing
You do excellent work and I Love your design… would you share more pictures as I want to duplicate your die set if you allow me to
I think it is exactly what I need as you can see by my pics I failed to duplicate
I learned I need to hold the tail of the tubing down when I press the end to keep tube straight, but I want the top to be rounded and professional looking like yours and the blue tube sample I included on picture

Thanks for any pics, tips or help is greatly appreciated as I am very new to machine on mills and lathes

You need to make a hold down piece to keep the tube from rising when pressed.
As far as the fingernail pressing end, you make a block for the punch with the shape
you want, yours is showing you just used the round ram directly on the tube surface.
