Medium sized, user friendly 3d printer than will host a variety or filaments?

It's not. I've recently ordered some Sunlu via Ali'. Stock in the UK.

ive never used ali either, not sure why but every time i see something advertised on there i get original Wish vibes...my only experience from them was ordering a burger press that was advertised as stainless steel, handle operated with a holder for a roll of greaseproof...then it turned up and it was a cheap plastic burger mold that was cracked...

that said, ive been browsing just now and found 10 spools of PETG for 54 quid (the same price ive just paid for 5 spools on ebay) in black, or 10 spools of different colours for 67 quid...so once ive gotten into the basics of it i may have to make an order for 10 or 20 spools and see how it goes...

the printer is now in my ebay basket, so by thursday when i get paid, i should have hopefully been offered a discount and will get it bought, hopefully delivered satrday while the mrs is out becasue as much as we are both very much 'its your money do what you want with it' she is starting to show signs of thinking im mental now with the amount ive bought this year...

oh and i need to know if PETG can be glued with CA or if its going to need something else or be melted or something

I struggle to get PETG to work with (Screwfix, no-nonsense, thin) CA.
It works better using sodium bicarbonate as a "cure".

I use superglue all the time to hold magnets into PETG models and it sticks really well. I've never needed to glue one PETG part to another so can't offer much comment. I have however, on occasion, spilled a bit of superglue onto the wrong bit of a PETG part while sticking a magnet in (e.g. once I spilled a drop on a print-in-place hinge) and had a devil of a job getting it back apart (in the case of the print-in-place hinge, I scrapped the part and re-printed). On that basis I'd say superglue works fine, but @bigegg's results are obviously different so take with a pinch of salt.

It may be this particular batch of PETG - or the glue which has been opened (in the fridge*) for about twelve months.
It *does* glue magnets okay.

I store mine in the freezer (to minimise the potential for any moisture in the air around it).
