Trying to find out who made this welder for snapon having trouble finding new pedal with correct plug
It was bought of a snapon van and iv tried google it says snapon did use Chinese manufacturers for a whileNobody.
Its a Chinese welder that someone has put a snap-on sticker onto.
Trying to find foot pedal with that type of plug welder working fine if you use buttons on torch but when you plug pedal in the hf start works but the arc is not constantPRC and CCP=china
Looks like amp.Looks like a ccp connector
That will be because the welder is perhaps not seeing the correct voltage from the pot to tell it how much current to apply.Trying to find foot pedal with that type of plug welder working fine if you use buttons on torch but when you plug pedal in the hf start works but the arc is not constant
Yes it had 2 loose wires i re solderd it has a nob on the side of the pedal it was working but it seemed to have less power when you used the pedal even though the settings on the welder where the same when I tried turning the nob up that's when it stopped workingThat will be because the welder is perhaps not seeing the correct voltage from the pot to tell it how much current to apply.
Normally most basic pedals are 5 wires.
Two from the switch to initiate the HF start and maintain the arc.
Three from the Potentiometer to dictate the current the machine puts into the arc.
Have you opened up the existing pedal? Did it work correctly before?
Can you take some pictures? Some pedals have a knob on the side to control the maximum current the pedal can output. Maybe that pot has gone wrong.Yes it had 2 loose wires i re solderd it has a nob on the side of the pedal it was working but it seemed to have less power when you used the pedal even though the settings on the welder where the same when I tried turning the nob up that's when it stopped working
I was wrong with ccpLooks very similar to the Parweld foot pedal plug fitted to my new AC/DC welder
