Thanks.Maybe make a spacer of some kind so you always install the bed clamp the same distance off the headstock. Or do a test to see how much tolerance you have on that distance.
A shoulder bolt for the pivot could be nice. Saying that, I wonder if there is a quick release pin that would be suitable - look up 'ball detent pin'.
Mine had a bush so when the pinch bolt is tightened it grips the bush rather than the end of the pivot arm.A shoulder bolt for the pivot could be nice.
