MDPE lined with black

I've just bought a roll of 32mm blue MDPE to replace a long section of my water supply pipe to the house. .

Got home and just removed the end cap and it's got a thick black lining on the inside. I haven't seen this before. Is this compatible/good to use with drinking water? Some google references suggest its not for drinking water, other references suggest it's OK.

Its a barrier pipe, for laying in rough old ground that may have pollutants, its ok for drinking water. You need to make sure your fittings work with this stuff, we had some that couldn’t use the standard mdpe fittings.

Its the SC80/PE80 pipe on there.

It's not nice ground it's going in (will also be under two roads so sounds like I've inadvertently bought something more suitable. I've got plasson fittings. Other than trying them how would I tell they aren't suitable?

Plasson do a range for this pipe and the adaptors to whatever you want on the other end Fittings

Oh bugger. Well, I think what i have isnt compatible then as i have these - https://www.gasandwaterpipelines.co.uk/plasson-couplings-7010.html - presumably these wont work?

I wonder if I need to change the pipe as I need to link to non barrier at either end.

Thanks @8ob and @jack-daniels - I will spend a little more time searching and not panicking! We are moling this pipe in on Saturday and i want to have everythign i need for then!!

Ordered two 32-32 barrier and a 32barrier-32mdpe from the links above. Hopefully they're here for Saturday. I'm hoping not to cut the pipe at all and only make joins at each end but got the barrier links just in case.
