Anyone know this flypress?

Pardon our interruption...

Looks quite similar to my Norton 3DB in style. If it is a Norton, I might take a gamble on it and hope that the minor thread on, for the locking nut, is the same. Mines missing it and occasionally I think about making something to fit. But for about an ~£30 gamble, could save me loads of time.

I would imagine it is different at a 2ton to 3ton is quite a jump , I would ask him to measure the thread OD to be sure

Ive often wondered that , its the wieght that does all the work cant imagine they are not supplied with them and cant see what use they are on there own

A quick search and it looks like a Denbigh Number 3 press.

Tonnage is irrelevant its the main screw OD for the press number that was the OPs question , I always thought the press No indicates theoretical tonnage but this no doubt could vary very much on many factors ie weight on the operating handle and how rigidly its fixed to a base.

Who knows. But the chart above would imply different sized screws.

Mine is an annoying thread, it almost perfectly fits 1.5"BSP but is 10TPI, not 11. I could have easily bodged a 1.5" bsp something or another.
