The offer is below the auction start price, so what I’d class as a cheeky lowball.

I’ve seen some large Colchester ones going for £600, Harrison M300 steadies £300 - £130 sounds a bit of a steal. Especially if I take into account what I paid for it, plus a hour-ish to fabricate an OSB crate for the shipping. It’s not a cardboard box job.

I remember looking for a Boxford steady, and they were in the hundreds. Ended up getting a Hemingway kit.

Have you seen the price of Myford stuff? You'd think some of it was gold plated.

The further you get from Myford size, the less valuable things get (per unit mass) until you get to the really big stuff where the scrap value starts driving the price back up.

If you don't know what it is, it's difficult to determine its true value. They either know what it is and are fishing for a bargain hoping you don't know what you have, or they don't know what it is either and are hoping to make it fit their machine so don't want to put too much money into a project/gamble. The size it is, you're looking at commercial users and there aren't nearly as many commercial buyers that would buy a project as hobbyists. They'd happily throw money at a known entity though.

TLDR: If you want best money for it, figure out for certain what you have.
