Thankfully this van being Euro 3, does not have EGR. Another reason that I want to keep it !Possibly not relevant, but something to check: I faffed around with a Peugeot partner 1.6 Hdi no-start for ages, looking all over the fuel system.
It was a stuck-open EGR valve. Unmetered air was entering, lowering the MAF signal and so fuel injection volume. I’m fairly sure I disconnected the MAF at one point, which should have eliminated that, but it didn’t help.





Best I managed was in a Mk2 Astra GTE at 140 indicated coming down. There is a roundabout at both ends, which spoils the fun a bit.
