Certainly, but cannot output more POWER than you put in.Amplifiers do output a higher voltage than they are supplied.

Isn't that the sort of frequency that makes you sxxt yourself?church organs at 10hz
You can have 100A fuses and cables the size of your leg, but the physics tells you that 13.8V driving a 4R load equals 40W regardless.
How? 13.8V into 4R doesn't compute.
isnt it just all down to .... P I V , are we not missing the function of an amplifier altogether ?Okaaaaay... I'll bite... Although I think you're trolling us/being selectively obtuse...
My front sub (yes, I have 2 in the car; they play different frequencies) is a 4 ohm driver, supplied by a different helix Amp. Again, with all gains set properly, it also supplies the speaker with over 30v at full tilt - around 250watts. Again, these are real figures, not made up.
foam looks intact , so as long as they are working they will probably be grand ,,,, they certainly look the partHere is the Blue Magic speakers.(Insert cringe emoji here) They definitely go to 11

Actually they look like 2 way speakers and potentially decent enough? Obviously ill clean up the covers and repaint the grills. Or I could keep the surrounds and insert new 3 way speakers

it wont make a jot of a difference ,,, never bother . Without starting another ten page discussion , too many folk talk garbage about cables ,,, some of the chat may be true and some not , but at the end of the day will you hear it on oem speakers and head unit ,,,,, nope.Well in the context of a classic car, they are period correct looking and in a prominent position. So replacing them entirely is out of the question. But I think I will re wire all with quality new copper speaker cable and try them for a while and see.

not triggered , but if oem stuff was in decent nick , its not worth upgrading , if its been messed with why wouldnt you fix it ,,, different scenarios only running on information given. Not sure why you appear triggered about mere suggestion of new cables.
Its for other reasons. Such as knobs having butchered the audio wiring before over the past 3 decades. And a factory fader part of the harness which is likely to be defunct now I need to check that out. But it will be better to re-run new speaker cables direct to each speaker into a new standard iso plug at the head unit undoing all the previous bodges by others.
dont worry . . a lot of the newer magnets seem smaller physically but the strength of the magnet may have gone up and thats what counts , some of the new professional horns are crazy to look at compaired o the older ones , those mounting tabs can come off if thats whats in the way , if its depth you could get some spacers 3d printed maybe ,,, just thinking outloud.Unfortunately the new Pioneer 3 way speakers clash with the dash speaker covers. So no go. Will have to find new speakers which are flush on top or not 3 way etc.
But I also noted the old speakers on the left have a considerably larger magnet than the new speakers?

Is this an indication of less power in the new speakers(?) No spec as such noted on the old ones.
