Multimeter, any recommendations?

Might have broken my old meter, any recommendations? usual volts/amp/resistance ideally something that will measure up to 10 amp and with a null setting I dont want to pay fluke money

Brymen are fluke level meters at a more cost effective prices.
Some of the UNI-T meters are very affordable

Depends a lot on what you are after, and if you are using it for mains electrical work where you would want a CAT safety rating.

I dont want to pay fluke money

What about used fluke money?
I've got my 117 for about 100 pounds and I'll never going to regret that.
Once you get your hands on something well built it's like night and day period.
Said that my recommendation goes on Fluke or Megger cause it's actually what I use and I love them.
But this might be more interesting

I bought an Amazon industrial model a few years back as I didn’t fancy taking my fluke 87 on the plane with me, and it’s been great to be fair. Exactly the same model is sold as RS pro for about 4 times the price, it’s not quite fluke standard but it’s decent enough and is bang on accurate

I'm mostly using a fluke 101 , £60 new off the bay .
Does more than I can !

I didn't want to pay Fluke prices either, so I bought a used 73 mk III on eBay. 30 years old now and still reads bang-on.

We have some of Fluke's newer offerings at work, 115s mostly, but I actually prefer mine.

Top tip for infrequently used DMMs, and other test gear : put Energizer lithium batteries in them, they have a 20 year shelf life and don't leak.

I has a Uni-t for years and it stood a lot of abuse before finally going a bit wonky.
I bought a newer auto ranging one off someone here but I preferred my old one.
I will get around to fixing the old one sometime.

one of my fluke clamp meter was 8 years old and only ever used a bout a few dozen times and it jacked in took it in to see if it could be fixed and was told its not worth it and didnt even look at it . we will sell u a new one with some discount dont bother i said i have a few other makes older and still work ok

If you buy new, my one suggestion is to get some decent leads. The ones the average multimeter come with are pretty rubbish and the cables tend to be pretty stiff. Better leads are more flexible and more than likely fused.

Mine too, I have a fair few and it has been my go to since I got it, once used to the disco display, it is very good.
